* 15/11/2022 - In line with Google's space reduction policy, the @gs.ncku.edu.tw account will implement the second account space reduction plan from now on. For details, please refer to announcement.


* 11/7/2022 - Renew 'Google Workspace for Education Service Access Agreement'. 


* 1/7/2022 - In line with Google's space reduction policy, the available space for each @gs.ncku.edu.tw account will be limited to 100GB from now on.


* 10/6/2022 - According to Google's announcement, @gmail.com will no longer support "Less secure apps" after May 30, 2022, and those affected include POP receiving mail. Please refer to [How to use the mail Client to receive mail ?] for alternative solutions. For details, please refer to announcement.


* 27/1/2022 - Starting from Jan 9, 2022, the free version of the workspace will no longer provide the function of Recordings saved to Drive. For details, please refer to the FAQ.

* 27/12/2021 - Please reduce the used space of Google Workspace account to below 100G by the end of January, 2022. For details, please refer to the announcement.

* 20/7/2021 - Drive File Stream is now called Google Drive for desktop. It is recommended that 'Backup and Sync' users complete the transition to Drive for desktop before October, 2021. For details, please refer to the announcement.

* 20/4/2021 - Google will disable the classic Sites to create a website on May 15, 2021 and the content of the classic Sites must be transferred before December 31, 2021. For details, please refer to the announcement.


* 3/3/2021 - Google Workspace will officially stop supporting Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) on March 15,2021. Please refer to Supported browsers for Google Workspace.


* 20/2/2021 - In accordance with the latest storage policy announced by Google on February 17, 2021, the unlimited space will be changed to each university providing only 100 TB of pooled cloud storage space shared across all of the users from July 2022, please refer to the announcement


* 19/2/2021 - 'G Suite for Education' has been renamed 'Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals'.

* 9/9/2020  In response to the epidemic, the advanced features of Google Meet previously provided by Google (Increase in number and conference recording) will expire on September 30 and the meet permissions will be changed after September 30. For details, please refer to the announcement


* 20/08/2020 In the afternoon of August 20, 2020, the G Suite users of our school could not use smoothly due to the unwarned failure of Google services. The affected services include Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Groups, Google Sites, Google Chat, Google Meet, Google Keep, etc. 10 services.

Based on this, it is recommended that GS users pay attention to data backup, so as to avoid  abnormalities in Google services in the future, which will not affect their own work or use rights.


* 2/7/2020 Update your G Suite mobile and desktop apps before August 12, 2020, to ensure they continue working. Please refer to the announcement for relevant information.


* 1/6/2020 In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, Google suspended the implementation of the "Less Security App" access to G Suite services. Please refer to the announcement for relevant information.


* 13/4/2020 To cooperate the distance learning, G Suite provide the Jamboard app, which can be used in conjunction with Hangouts Meet.


* 5/3/2020 In response to the COVID-19 epidemic prevention, the Hangouts Meet multiplayer video conference function was provided. For related information, please refer to the announcement.

 

* 4/3/2020 To cooperate with the COVID-19 epidemic prevention, the Computer and Network Center will temporarily suspend the 1F counter consultation services and provide the online change of the GS password. For related information, please refer to the announcement.


* Since 2/1/2020, Alumni can apply G Suite account through Alumni Association Center. Please refer to the announcement for relevant information.



* On 11/11/2019, Students who have the school status will be distribute the G Suite account according to the student ID. Please log in Cheng-Kung Portal to enable your G Suite and get the initial password during your first-time sign in. For detailed instruction, check it here.
